That's what this guide is for. Within you will find everything there is to know about the Item Synthesis system, including locations for rare Synthesis ingredients. Revision History & Contact Information [REVISIONHISTORY] ---== Version 1.00 (27 April 2006) * Initial version of the guide * All key information is present Version 1.10 (1 May 2006) * Updated and revised the enemy/item drop data * Corrected a few item descriptions Contact Information: If you have corrections or additions for this guide, please send an e-mail with "ATTN: KH2 Synth Guide" in the subject line to: skyrender@gmail.com All contributors and correctors are credited in the Special Thanks To section at the end of the guide. Synthesis Levels [SYNTHLEVELS] ---== There are 9 total levels of Synthesis skill, each level giving you a certain bonus to your Synthesis abilities. They are as follows: Synthesis Level (Title) - Next Lv - New Abilities .==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--== Level 1 (Amatuer Moogle) - 40 exp - Can do basic synthesis Level 2 (Novice Moogle) - 60 exp - Can use Bright and Energy materials Level 3 (Junior Moogle) - 80 exp - Can use Serenity materials Level 4 (Skilled Moogle) - 100 exp - Can use two secondary materials Level 5 (Senior Moogle) - 200 exp - C-rank items use half the materials Level 6 (Artisan Moogle) - 350 exp - B-rank items use half the materials Level 7 (Master Moogle) - 500 exp - A-rank items use half the materials Level 8 (Superior Moogle) - 650 exp - Can make Mythril Gems and Crystals Level 9 (Primo Moogle) - N/A - S-rank items use half the materials '==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--== Synthesis Level (Title) - Next Lv - New Abilities Synthesis experience is gained from making items. Each item has a set experience rate that it will raise the Synthesis level by. Note that the halved material requirements from Synthesis level only apply to Creations, not to items still in the Free Development or Recipes sections. A NOTE ON HALVING: KH2 rounds up when halving materials required. So an item requiring 3 of a material would be reduced to needing 2, an item requiring 5 would be reduced to 3, and so on. Special Synthesis [SPECIALSYNTH] ---== There are three special Synthesis materials: Bright, Energy, and Serenity. The way they work is simple. * Bright materials double the experience value of an item * Energy materials cut the material price for devising an item by half * Serenity materials make the second form of an item You must be at least Synthesis level 2 to use Bright and Energy materials, and at least Synthesis level 3 to use Serenity materials. Serenity materials can only be used on Creations, not on items still in the Free Development or Recipes sections. Synthesis Recipes [SYNTHRECIPES] ---== This is a list of all of the recipes you can make, as well as where they are found or how they are unlocked.
