The Hermes Sandals, Hyper Wrist, and Gil are all in the hidden basement in the mansion, behind a false wall in the master bedroom on the second floor. There's another false wall with a staircase leading down to the right, directly down from the vertical hallway that the secret passage has. Duncan's House [ ] Potion Mt. Colts [ ] Main Gauche [ ] Giant's Glove [ ] Tent [ ] Tent [ ] Potion - Encounters - [ ] Cirpius [ ] Trillium [ ] Zaghrem [ ] Gorgias [ ] @Ipooh [ ] @Vargas NOTES: The Giant's Glove can be hard to find. In the second cave, head up and to the right; there's a gap you can pass through obscured by the ceiling that leads to the glove. Returners' Hideout [ ] Hi-Potion [ ] Air Knife [ ] White Cape [ ] Phoenix Down [ ] Phoenix Down [ ] Antidote [ ] Green Cherry [ ] Knight's Code [ ] Genji Glove* [ ] Gauntlet* * - You can only get one of these. If you tell Banon yes right off the bat, you'll get the Gauntlet. If you tell him no at least once and talk to the man in the store room directly north of the entrance to the base, you will get a Genji Glove. Gauntlets are rarer than Genji Gloves, but Genji Gloves are usually more useful overall. Lethe River - Encounters - [ ] Lesser Lopros [ ] Exocite [ ] Nautiloid [ ] @Orthros (1) NOTES: Put Banon in the back row for an easier go of things. Also, stock up on Eye Drops at the Returner's Hideout before you go rafting. Lock's Scenario South Figaro Basement [ ] Ribbon [ ] X-Potion [ ] Ether [ ] Elixir [ ] Earring [ ] Iron Armor [ ] Greatsword - Encounters - [ ] Commander [ ] Vector Hound NOTES: The Ribbon, X-Potion, and Elixir are in a hidden part of the basement that you can see the stairs to from the main part. Check the leftmost wall in the main walkway that you can see the stairs from to find the hidden path to them. The Ribbon is hidden in a chest near the Elixir, but the chest itself can't be seen. South Figaro Cave - Encounters - [ ] Cartagla [ ] Acrophies [ ] Gold Bear [ ] @Tunnel Armor NOTES: Though the items are upgraded at this point, they're not worth getting, as better items will be available in their places later still. Edgar's Scenario Narshe Mines [ ] Rune Blade^ - Encounters - [ ] Dark Side# [ ] Eukaryote# [ ] Specter# [ ] Wild Rat [ ] Valeor NOTES: You can fight the three non-bestiary monsters by intentionally failing the Narshe mines trial. Don't pick up the Rune Blade; it becomes a Ribbon later, and you can also buy Rune Blades later. Matthew's Scenario Doma World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Chippirabbit [ ] Aepiornis [ ] Nettlehopper [ ] Stray Cat Imperial Base [ ] Star Pendant [ ] Mythril Glove [ ] Barrier Ring - Encounters - [ ] Doberman [ ] Sattelite [ ] @Commander [ ] @Imperial Soldier [ ] @Templar [ ] @Kefka (I) NOTES: Kick the chest in the first rightmost tent to fight the Doberman enemies. The Barrier Ring and Mythril Glove, as well as the Sattelite (which drops a Green Beret) are in chests during the sequence where you're chasing Kefka. Phantom Forest - Encounters - [ ] Poplium [ ] Ghost NOTES: The path through is forward, right lower, right upper, and right-upper exits. There's a healing spring in the second screen. Phantom Train [ ] Phoenix Down [ ] Phoenix Down [ ] Sniper Sight [ ] Earring [ ] Hyper Wrist [ ] Tent* - Encounters - [ ] Angel Whisper [ ] Living Dead [ ] Cloud [ ] Oversoul [ ] Bomb [ ] @Specter [ ] @Siegfried [ ] @Phantom Train * - This Tent is hidden in one of the "empty" compartments, on the ground. NOTES: The Specter and Siegfried are summoned by opening certain chests. Be sure to encounter every possible enemy here, as you won't be able to return to this location later. You can find Living Dead enemies early on the train, and Oversouls in the second half of the train. Take note that you cannot backtrack, so don't forget to fight a Living Dead group before you progress to the third car. Mobliz [ ] Elixir [ ] Tintinabulum* * - This item is gotten from the wounded soldier side-quest. Crescent Mountain [ ] Potion* * - Gau finds this for you if you explore the lower-left area. Serpent Trench [ ] X-Potion [ ] Elixir [ ] Green Beret - Encounters - [ ] Anguiform [ ] Aspirans [ ] Actinian NOTES: Veer right at both intersections to get the items. Narshe [ ] Earring [ ] 5000 Gil [ ] Elixir [ ] Thief Knife [ ] Reflect Ring [ ] Brigand Ring [ ] Hyper Wrist - Encounters - [ ] Corporal [ ] Hunting Hound [ ] Heavy Armor [ ] @Hell's Rider [ ] @Kefka (2) NOTES: During the attack, be sure to encounter every possible enemy, as you won't be able to fight any of them again after this. Also, pay the locked chest in the treasure room of Narshe no mind; it'll be unlocked later. Jidoor World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Dragon Fossil [ ] Bloodfang [ ] Vulture [ ] Iron Fist [ ] Rock Wasp [ ] Palaradia Kohlingen Village [ ] Green Beret [ ] Elixir House on the Cape [ ] Hero's Ring NOTES: Frequently missed; don't forget to visit this place and get this very useful accessory! Jidoor [ ] Potion Zozo [ ] Potion [ ] X-Potion [ ] Ether [ ] Hi-Potion [ ] Chainsaw [ ] Thief's Bracer [ ] Hermes Sandals [ ] Burning Fist [ ] @Cait Sith [ ] @Siren [ ] @Kirin [ ] @Ramuh - Encounters - [ ] Veil Dancer [ ] Vice [ ] Gobbledygook [ ] Hill Gigas [ ] @Dadaluma NOTES: The clock that leads to the Chainsaw should be set to 6:10:50. Most of the items are easy to find, but be sure to check pots and buckets as usual. Opera House - Encounters - [ ] Stunner [ ] Goetia [ ] @Orthros (2) NOTES: Be sure to encounter every possible enemy here, as you won't be able to fight the enemies in this location later. Vector World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Litwor Chicken [ ] Don [ ] Joker [ ] Wyvern [ ] Grasswyrm [ ] Dragon Fossil [ ] Bug Albrook [ ] Potion [ ] Hi-Potion [ ] Elixir [ ] Teleport Stone Maranda [ ] Holy Water [ ] Remedy Magitek Research Institute [ ] X-Potion [ ] Tent [ ] Flametongue [ ] Icebrand [ ] Thunder Blade [ ] Zephyr Cloak [ ] Golden Armor [ ] Golden Helm [ ] Golden Shield [ ] Dragoon Boots [ ] Remedy [ ] Stoneblade [ ] @Unicorn [ ] @Maduin [ ] @Catoblepas [ ] @Phantom [ ] @Carbuncle [ ] @Bismarck - Encounters - [ ] Sergeant [ ] Belzecue [ ] Proto Armor [ ] Onion [ ] Flan [ ] Trapper [ ] General [ ] Lenergia [ ] Destroyer [ ] Chaser [ ] @Ifrit [ ] @Shiva [ ] @Number 024 [ ] Magna Roaders (1) [ ] Magna Roaders (2) [ ] @Number 128 [ ] @Left Blade [ ] @Right Blade [ ] @Crane (left) [ ] @Crane (right) NOTES: Be sure to encounter every possible enemy here, as you won't be able to return to this location later. Some of the items are behind false walls or require you to take lifts, so don't be shy about exploring. Most noteworthy is the Stoneblade, hidden down a corridor in the hall of empty glass containers late in the dungeon, off to the left. Chasers only appear after the mine cart sequence. If you fail to encounter both types of Magna Roaders during a trip down the mine cart ride by the time you run into Number 128, just reload and redo the mine cart sequence. Tzen [ ] @Seraph NOTES: This summon will cost you 5,000 Gil. You can buy it much later in the game for 10 Gil, but it won't be worth as much to you by then. Narche [ ] Gold Hairpin* * - If you get this, you cannot recruit Mog until the second part of the game; beware! -- Mog's Dances -- [ ] @Twilight Requiem [ ] @Forest Nocturne [ ] @Desert Aria [ ] @Love Serenade [ ] @Earth Blues [ ] @Wind Rhapsody [ ] @Water Harmony* NOTES ON DANCES: You can learn dances from each terrain type (cave, forest, desert, indoors, mountains, plains, water, and snowfield). Just win a fight with Mog in the party in one of these terrain types to learn the dance for that terrain. * - This one requires that you traverse the Lethe River and Serpent Trench again. Which you start from is up to you. If you don't get this before a certain point, you'll only have one other chance to learn it, when fighting Leviathan later. Jidoor [ ] @Golem [ ] @Zona Seeker NOTES: You'll need 30,000 Gil total to get both of these summons. They can also be purchased later in the game, but they're more useful now. Bomb Forest Area - Encounters - [ ] Grenade Triangular Island Area - Encounters - [ ] Intangir NOTES: Intangirs are vulnerable to Stop, so make the most of this. To do damage to them, rely on skills and spells that ignore defense (Drill, Step Count, 1000 Needles, etc.). Every 6 turns, cast Vanish and Stop on them again to keep them from acting. If you're not after their bestiary entry, you can instantly get them to leave and get their magic AP by casting Confuse on an ally, and having that ally use a Smoke Bomb before the animation for Confuse is over. If Confuse hits them, they'll toss a Smoke Bomb on the Intangir, netting you 10 magic AP. Whatever you do, be sure your party members all have at least 1000 HP, as the Intangir likes to counter pretty much everything with Meteor. Cave to the Sealed Gate [ ] Magicite Shard [ ] Magicite Shard [ ] Turbo Ether [ ] Hi-Ether [ ] Hi-Ether [ ] Assassin's Dagger [ ] Kazekiri [ ] Heiji's Cross [ ] X-Potion [ ] Elixir [ ] Tent [ ] Ultima Weapon [ ] Genji Glove - Encounters - [ ] Provoker [ ] Lich [ ] Outcast [ ] Dragon Zombie [ ] Antares [ ] @Kefka (3) NOTES: Be sure to encounter every possible enemy here, as you won't be able to return to this location later. Most of the items are in chests, but a few can be found hidden on the ground in the area surrounding the large staircase midway through the cave. Provokers, Liches, and Antares are mostly only found on the first two floors. Vector Castle [ ] Alarm Earring [ ] Gale Hairpin [ ] Holy Water [ ] Potion [ ] Hi-Potion [ ] X-Potion [ ] Tintinabulum* [ ] Ward Bangle* - Encounters - [ ] Mega Armor [ ] @Elite Guard NOTES: Be sure to encounter every possible enemy here, as you won't be able to fight them later. Talk to all 24 soldiers and be as neutral as possible at the banquet to get the best rewards (troops withdrawing from South Figaro and Doma, a Tintinabulum, and a Ward Bangle). The Elite Guard are the four soldiers on Gestahl's side of the table, though you only fight 3 of them. * - See above note for how to get these items. Imperial Lookout Post [ ] Angel Wings [ ] Angel Ring [ ] Alarm Pierce [ ] Hermes Sandals [ ] Reflect Ring [ ] Flametongue [ ] X-Potion [ ] Hi-Ether [ ] Elixir [ ] Elixir [ ] 8000 Gil [ ] 13000 Gil [ ] 20000 Gil NOTES: A few of the items are hidden behind the ceiling overhang, so be sure to check the lower wall carefully. The Flametongue is in the furnace. Triangle Island World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Chimera [ ] Devourer [ ] Briarius NOTES: Unequip Shadow before you continue with the plot in Thamasa; he won't be sticking around for the coming events. Thamasa [ ] Echo Screen [ ] Green Cherry [ ] Phoenix Down [ ] Gold Needle [ ] Eye Drops [ ] Memento Ring Burning House [ ] Flame Rod [ ] Ice Rod - Encounters - [ ] Balloon [ ] @Flame Eater NOTES: It's not like you can avoid it, but be sure you fight at least one Balloon here that's not part of Flame Eater's Bomblet move. The Memento Ring is hidden on the floor along the left wall in Stragos' house. Triangle Cave [ ] Tabby Suit [ ] Chocobo Suit [ ] Heal Rod [ ] X-Potion - Encounters - [ ] Bonnacon [ ] Adamankary [ ] Venobennu [ ] Mandrake [ ] Land Grillon [ ] @Orthros (3) Thamasa - Encounters - [ ] @Kefka (4) NOTES: This is a point of no return! Make certain you've gotten everything you want up to this point before continuing. Though you can still leave from the next two parts, it's much better if you get everything you need done completed before you take them on. Air Skirmish - Encounters - [ ] Spitfire [ ] Sky Armor [ ] @Orthros (4) [ ] @Typhon [ ] @Air Force [ ] @Laser Cannon [ ] @Missile Port [ ] @Bit NOTES: Be sure to encounter every possible enemy here, as you won't be able to re-fight any of them (shouldn't be a problem doing that). You must actually defeat Orthros during the fight with him and Typhon, even though you don't have to to win. Focus on defeating Orthros first, then take down Typhon. The same goes for the Laser Cannon, Missile Port, and Bit in the Air Force fight. Floating Island [ ] Murasame [ ] Beret [ ] Sasuke [ ] Elixir - Encounters - [ ] Behemoth [ ] Ninja [ ] Dragon [ ] Misfit [ ] Codger [ ] Platinum Dragon [ ] Apocrypha [ ] @Gigantes [ ] @Ultima Weapon [ ] Naughty [ ] @Nerapa NOTES: Be sure to encounter every possible enemy here, as you won't be able to return to this location later. For the Gigantes, cast Vanish on your party members during or prior to the fight to make it impossible to lose. You cannot get the Elixir until after completing the events of this area on up to the timed escape. To get it, take the long path down, right, and back up to reach it, or it will become permanently inaccessible. To get Shadow to rejoin you later, you need to choose to wait twice at the prompt for jumping on the airship, and wait until 5 seconds left on the countdown. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = World of Ruin = [MCWOR] Solitary Island World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Peeper [ ] Land Ray [ ] Black Dragon NOTES: You can choose to either feed Cid fish or let him die; it has no effect on the plot. To get fish to appear if none you want to catch are in the ocean, you need to talk to Cid. To save him, feed him only very fast and fast fish. Avoid the two slower types: they do nothing and hurt him, respectively. Albrook World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Fafnir [ ] Killer Mantis [ ] Lunar Dog [ ] Gigantoad [ ] Murussu [ ] Rukh NOTES: It's a good idea to avoid random encounters at this point. Tzen: Collapsing House [ ] Holy Rod [ ] Blood Sword [ ] Hyper Wrist [ ] Magirock Fragment [ ] Potion [ ] Heal Rod - Encounters - [ ] Scorpion [ ] Zokka [ ] Night Walker NOTES: This sequence is optional, but a good idea to partake in. The time limit here is pretty strict. Stick to casting Fira on enemies, and run from enemy groups you've already encountered. You may need to reload if you're after a full bestiary, since the game likes to give you an endless run of Scorpions at times. Take a Chocobo from the forest north of Tzen to Mobliz for an easier go of things. Serpent Trench Area - Encounters - [ ] Vampire Thorn [ ] Dual Horn [ ] Lizard [ ] Delta Beetle Mobliz [ ] Phoenix Down [ ] @Fenrir - Encounters - [ ] @Humbaba (1)# [ ] @Humbaba (2)# NOTES: Visiting Mobliz is also optional. Humbaba is the next boss entry in the bestiary, but you cannot get his entry until a bit later, so don't worry. Chasing him off here nets you Fenrir. Nab a Chocobo from the forest south of Mobliz, and ride your way to Nikeah, then sail to South Figaro. South Figaro [ ] Phoenix Down^ [ ] Elixir^ [ ] Tent^ [ ] Remedy^ [ ] X-Potion^ [ ] @Leviathan* * - You have to sail back to Nikea to encounter Leviathan. You may want to put off getting Leviathan until you have the airship and more allies. Figaro World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Cure Rotor [ ] Oceanos [ ] Cancer [ ] Sand Horse Figaro Cave [ ] Brave Ring^ [ ] Turbo Ether^ [ ] X-Potion^ - Encounters - [ ] Hunter [ ] Dudufedu [ ] Neck Hunter Figaro Castle Basement [ ] Soul Saber [ ] Crystal Helmet [ ] X-Potion [ ] Turbo Ether [ ] Gravity Rod [ ] Royal Crown - Encounters - [ ] Dante [ ] Drop [ ] @Tentacle (1) [ ] @Tentacle (2) [ ] @Tentacle (3) [ ] @Tentacle (4) NOTES: You can find Drops in the boss room. Kohlingen World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Marchosias [ ] Mousse [ ] Deep Eye [ ] Bogey Darril's Tomb [ ] Man-Eater [ ] Growth Egg [ ] Crystal Armor [ ] Regal Gown [ ] Genji Helmet [ ] Dragon's Claw - Encounters - [ ] Barghest [ ] Deadly Bone [ ] Energy Demon [ ] Exoray [ ] Malboro [ ] @Anger Whelk [ ] @Dullahan NOTES: The Growth Egg is hidden in the basement with the Regal Gown, to the right. You can get a hint about this from the tombstone puzzle up on the first floor (solution: ERAU QSSI DLRO WEHT). Cast Banish on the Anger Whelk until either the head or shell is nixed. If the head is taken out, cast Death repeatedly on the shell. If the shell is taken, defeat the head normally. This will net you 2 Dragon's Claws instead of 1. IMPORTANT NOTE: Everything from this point on up to Kefka's Tower is entirely optional. Solitary Island Hut [ ] @Quetzalli Maranda World Map Area [ ] Leech Frog [ ] Basilisk [ ] Crawler [ ] Lycaon [ ] Sprinter [ ] Greater Mantis [ ] Cactuar [ ] Slug Crawler Mt. Zozo [ ] Ice Shield [ ] Gold Hairpin [ ] Red Cap [ ] Aegis Shield [ ] Thunder Shield - Encounters - [ ] Glasya-Labolas [ ] Stolen Bear [ ] Punisher [ ] Luridan [ ] Orient Devil [ ] @Storm Dragon NOTES: Enemies on Mt. Zozo have high evasion, so stick to magic. You may want to get Mog from Narshe first, and Molulu's Charm, so you can put off fighting enemies here for later. The Storm Dragon is hidden in a chest that you open via a switch, and may be too hard for you right now; feel free to give it a miss until later. Beast Plains Cave [ ] Ichigeki [ ] Berserker Ring - Encounters - [ ] Two Cutter [ ] Gorgimera [ ] @King Behemoth (1) [ ] @King Behemoth (2) NOTES: If you saved Shadow on the Floating Island, he'll appear here. If not, Relm will be here. To defeat the second King Behemoth easily, cast Raise on it. Thamasa World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Purusha [ ] Basijatta [ ] Gloomwind Jidoor Manor [ ] Moogle Suit [ ] Lich Ring [ ] 2000 Gil [ ] Ether [ ] Remedy [ ] Hi-Potion - Encounters - [ ] Caladrius [ ] Nature Rythm [ ] Mine Ball [ ] Couerl Cat [ ] @Chardarnook NOTES: Always take the door furthest from where you enter to progress. The flying chests, when stood under, will make you fight an enemy group and give you their items. Be careful of paintings, many of them are possessed and will fight you. Chadarnook is easier to defeat if you only attack the demon version. Mobliz - Encounters - [ ] @Humbaba (3)# [ ] @Humbaba (4) NOTES: Humbaba is weak against poison attacks, so Bio can make the fight very very easy. Tina will rejoin you after you beat him. Phoenix Cave [ ] Wing Edge [ ] Ribbon [ ] Teleport Stone [ ] Dragon Horn - Encounters - [ ] Face [ ] Necromancer [ ] Galyupdes [ ] Zeveak [ ] Chaos Dragon [ ] Ouroboros [ ] Sea Flower [ ] @Red Dragon NOTES: To find this dungeon, attempt to land in the center of the star-like mountains north of Tzen. Galyupdes appear rarely in the non-lava areas. Face enemies cannot be run from. Feel free to wait until later to fight the Red Dragon. Kohlingen Village [ ] X-Potion [ ] Phoenix Down [ ] Super Ether [ ] Elixir [ ] Flame Shield [ ] Valiant Knife [ ] @Phoenix NOTES: You get these items automatically from Lock after finishing the Phoenix Cave sequence, in Kohlingen. Narshe World Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Rugiviet [ ] Baalzephon [ ] Plelantar [ ] Tyrannosaurus [ ] Brachioridos Narshe [ ] Morul's Charm [ ] Elixir [ ] Bloody Shield [ ] Ragnarok* [ ] @Ragnarok* [ ] Guard Bracelet^ [ ] X-Potion^ [ ] Ribbon^ [ ] @Valigarmander - Encounters - [ ] Garm [ ] Trial Rider [ ] Magna Roader (3) [ ] Magna Roader (4) [ ] Wizard [ ] Psycho [ ] @Freeze Dragon [ ] @Valigarmanda -- Mog's Dances -- [ ] @Snowman Rondo** NOTES: Go grab Mog ASAP and search the spot he was standing at for Molulu's Charm. To reach him, go into Arvis' house and take the route through the back door to the area from the start of the game where you fought the Guard Leader. * - You can only choose one of these; I suggest you take the Magicite. You can steal additional Ragnarok swords from the third tier of the last boss, and they will carry over to your clear game data. You cannot, however, get the Ragnarok summon any other way. ** - You can ONLY learn this by fighting Valigarmanda or the Freeze Dragon! Don't forget to put Mog in your party if you're after all Dances! Umaro's Cave [ ] Gauntlet [ ] X-Ether [ ] @Midgardsormr - Encounters - [ ] Nortia [ ] Illuyankas [ ] Tonberry [ ] Anemone [ ] Onion Dash [ ] Tsenahale [ ] @Tonberries [ ] @Umaro NOTES: Tonberries are found in a chest on the first floor. Take care in fighting them, as they're very strong. You can rarely win Minerva Bustiers from them. Also, be sure to take Mog along, or you cannot recruit Umaro. Check the bone carving to get Midgardsormr and to fight Umaro himself. Triangular Island Map Area - Encounters - [ ] Zone Eater NOTES: Let a Zone Eater inhale all of your party members to reach the Mysterious Cave. Mysterious Cave [ ] Brave Ring [ ] Thunder Shield [ ] Wind Mantle [ ] Pinwheel [ ] Turbo Ether [ ] Magical Brush [ ] Red Jacket [ ] Genji Armor [ ] Dancho's Mustache - Encounters - [ ] Corpse [ ] Kamui [ ] Balloon Beast [ ] Invisible [ ] Amdusias [ ] Baalzephon NOTES: Be sure to let the strange men walking around knock you off the bridges at least once so you can get the items down below. Gogo is at the end of this cave. Ancient Castle [ ] Turbo Ether [ ] Super Ether [ ] Magirock Fragment [ ] Wing Edge [ ] Punisher [ ] Death Tarot [ ] Gladius [ ] Gold Hairpin [ ] Blizzard Orb [ ] Master Scroll [ ] @Odin [ ] @Raiden - Encounters - [ ] Enuo [ ] Satan [ ] Figaro Lizard [ ] Lunatic [ ] Armored Weapon [ ] Coco [ ] Samurai [ ] Raging Beast [ ] @Master Tonberry [ ] @Samurai Soul [ ] @Blue Dragon NOTES: To be able to visit this location, go take Figaro Castle back to South Figaro or from South Figaro to Kohlingen. As for the dungeon itself, check a few steps down from the lefthand throne to find a hidden switch. This opens the path to the Blue Dragon, and the upgrade for Odin. Be wary of Samurai Soul; it's a hard boss, but it guards the Master Scroll. You can talk to the middle thief in the pack of 3 thieves at the Fanatics' Tower and pay him 100,000 Gil to get a hint on this dungeon's location, but it's optional (and not worth it, really). Cayenne's Dream [ ] Phoenix Down [ ] Hi-Ether [ ] Ice Shield [ ] Flame Shield [ ] Genji Glove [ ] @Alexander - Encounters - [ ] Al Jabr [ ] Pandora [ ] Parasite [ ] Charming Rider [ ] Weredragon [ ] Pluto Armor [ ] Schmidt [ ] Io [ ] @Moebieus [ ] @Curlax [ ] @Laragorn [ ] @Wrexsoul [ ] @Soul Saver NOTES: Be sure to encounter every possible enemy here, as you won't be able to return to this location later. Many of the items are on the train portion of this dungeon. You can only find Pandora, Parasite, Weredragon, and Charming Rider in the first part of the dungeon. You can only find Pluto Armor, Schmidt, and Io during the Magitek Armor sequence. Fanatics' Tower [ ] Safety Bit [ ] Air Anchor [ ] Kagenui [ ] Genji Shield [ ] Force Armor [ ] Holy Lance [ ] Soul of Thamasa - Encounters - [ ] Magic Level 10 [ ] Magic Level 20 [ ] Magic Level 30 [ ] Magic Level 40 [ ] Magic Level 50 [ ] Magic Level 60 [ ] Magic Level 70 [ ] Magic Level 80 [ ] Magic Level 90 [ ] Magic Pot [ ] @Holy Dragon [ ] @Magic Master NOTES: Check to the right of the chest in the first treasure room to unhide the door to the Air Anchor. The Holy Dragon is, as ever, optional. Do not get the Soul of Thamasa on the top floor unless you either have a very high HP count (over 7000), Reraise, or intend to drain all of Magic Master's MP. Eboshi Rock - Encounters - [ ] Moonform [ ] Aspidochelon [ ] Creature [ ] Mahadeva [ ] Warlock [ ] Slat [ ] Chicken Medusa [ ] @Hidon [ ] @Erebus (1) [ ] @Erebus (2) [ ] @Erebus (3) [ ] @Erebus (4) NOTES: You need to gather Coral for the chest to get through. Hidon casts a rare move called Grand Triad when his HP is low enough, which Stragos can learn. You can re-fight Hidon and the Erebus enemies as many times as you want by re-visiting this dungeon later. Opera Theater - Encounters - [ ] @Earth Dragon NOTES: As ever, Earth Dragon is optional. Equip Gaia Gear for a laughably easy fight. Skies of the World [ ] @Bahamut - Encounters - [ ] @Death Gaze NOTES: Buy 6 Holy Rods in preparation for this fight, and give all party members an Earring or Hero's Ring. Make sure no allies are at a level 5 multiple (ie. 25, 30, 35, etc.), and give them all Hermes Shoes. During the fight, have them all use a Holy Rod as an item. After all 6 Holy Rods are used, Death Gaze will almost definitely be dead. Battle Arena - Encounters - [ ] @Siegfried (2) [ ] @Typhon (2)# [ ] @Gilgamesh NOTES: See the Gilgamesh boss fight strategies for how to defeat him. See the Arena Overview section for what each bet will net you and make you fight. Tower of Ruin [ ] Rainbow Brush [ ] Megalixir [ ] Minerva Bustier [ ] Windmill [ ] Force Armor [ ] Ribbon [ ] Fake Dice [ ] Red Cap [ ] Nutkin Suit [ ] Gauntlet [ ] Brave Ring [ ] Aegis Shield [ ] @Crusader* - Encounters - [ ] Great Malboro [ ] Land Worm [ ] Armor Base [ ] InnoSent [ ] Prometheus [ ] Death Machine [ ] Metal Hitman [ ] Duel Armor [ ] Gamma [ ] Junk [ ] Black Force [ ] Yojimbo [ ] Demon Knight [ ] Moodpseudo [ ] Daedalus [ ] Mover [ ] Ahriman [ ] Cherry [ ] Outsider [ ] Fiend Dragon [ ] Vector Lythos [ ] Primeval Dragon [ ] Grand Behemoth [ ] Vector Chimera - Boss Fights - [ ] @Yellow Dragon [ ] @Skull Dragon [ ] @Ultima Buster [ ] @Inferno [ ] @Katu [ ] @Rahu [ ] @Guardian [ ] @Fiend [ ] @Demon [ ] @Goddess - Tier 1 - [ ] @Long Hand [ ] @Short Hand [ ] @Head - Tier 2 - [ ] @Hit [ ] @Machine [ ] @Tiger [ ] @Face - Tier 3 - [ ] @Girl [ ] @Repose - Final - [ ] @Kefka NOTES: The last dungeon, this place is enormous. Bring Lock or Gogo along for boss fights to steal all sorts of useful rare items from enemies. The Aegis Shield is hidden along the lower part of the factory section with a conveyor belt leading up; it's a bit of a maze to traverse, so you may want to do so with Molulu's Charm on Mog. * - Crusader is obtained by defeating all 8 of the Dragons. Most players end up getting it here, but it's obtained when you beat the last of whichever of the 8 you have yet to kill. Getting Crusader also unseals the Dragon's Nest bonus dungeon. I will add the new items to this list once I get them. * - This is a special fight; you get the Merit Award from it, but you have to fight Gilgamesh with your full party afterwards. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= New Boss Strategies [NEWBOSS] ===-- These are strategies and equipment setups for dealing with the newly added bosses found in Final Fantasy VI Advance. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Gigantuar Minimum HP required: 1001 for 3 allies, 2001 for 1 ally Party Setup: Edgar: Hermes Sandals, Hero Ring, Drill (Tool), Araise Matthew: Hermes Sandals, Hero Ring, Raging Fist (Blitz), Araise Cayenne: Hermes Sandals, Hero Ring, Fang (Bushido), Araise Lock: Hermes Sandals, Gold Hairpin, Araise, Reraise Notes: All should also have Curaga, for ease of fighting. Have a good 10 Elixirs in stock. Strategy: Revive any fallen allies as soon as they're KO'd with Araise. Any time somebody won't have enough MP left to cast Araise two times in a row, give them an Elixir. Always cancel-select the Magic menu, so you don't waste a turn should Gigantuar go into a 1000 Needles barrage right after you select your spells. Keep Reraise on your allies at all times possible, and keep your HP maxed at all times. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Leviathan Minimum HP required: N/A Party Setup: All allies: Reed Cloak, Dish, Tortoise Shell, or Paladin's Shield Strategy: Just dish it out. Leviathan literally cannot hurt you if you have any of the Imp wear or the Paladin's Shield equipped. This is the easiest of the new bosses you fight. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Gilgamesh Minimum HP required: 1700 for all allies Party Setup: All allies: Low or no MP remaining; equip Thunder and Paladin's Shields Notes: Recommended you include Lock and Gogo for stealing purposes. Strategy: Steal away his MP right off the bat, and keep your party healed. DO NOT ATTACK UNTIL HIS MP IS GONE! Once he runs out of MP, cast Vanish on your entire party, and then commence stealing and attacking. His change of tactics later in the fight will have no effect on your invisible party. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Bonus Dungeon Bosses Minimum HP required: N/A Party Setup: Super Warrior: Master Scroll, Genji Glove, and 2 Ultima Weapons Magic Users: Ribbon, Celestriad or Soul of Thamasa, Araise, Curaga Warriors: Ribbon, Genji Glove, 2 Lightbringers, Araise, Curaga Strategy: Have your Ultima Weapon wielder cast Quick, then attack for both of their bonus turns. If there are survivors, repeat as necessary. Do not use on the Red Dragon (just survive 'til it dies automatically) or Skull Dragon (drain all of its MP, and have defenses against Zombie). You can skip casting Quick for your attacker if you only have 1 target. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Stat-Boosting Overview [STATBOOST] ===-- Stat boosting in FF6 is one of the ways to make the game much easier. The three most important stats are HP, MP, and Agility. As such, guidelines for raising those stats most effectively are given below. Strength, Stamina, and Magic can be raised however you like, as they have almost no effect by level 99. =-=-= NOTE: Levels given are for given level-ups; equip an appropriate Magicite when a character's level is 1 below what is listed. Optimal HP and MP Stat-Boosting: Level 69-71: Bahamut Level 98: Crusader (Matthew) Level 99: Crusader (Lock, Cayenne, Shadow, Edgar, Setzer, Matthew) Levels of Cactuar necessary for 100 Agility: Tina 34 Lock 30 Cayenne 36 Shadow 31 Edgar 35 Matthew 32 Celes 33 Stragos 38 Relm 33 Setzer 34 Mog 32 Gau 31 Gogo N/A Umaro N/A Total Base Stat Points: Tina 131 Lock 136 Cayenne 126 Shadow 140 Edgar 132 Matthew 151 Celes 135 Stragos 106 Relm 126 Setzer 129 Mog 126 Gau 152 Gogo 101 Umaro 173 HP, MP and Experience Growth Rates Level HP Up Min HP MP Up Min MP To LV Total Exp 2 11 11 5 5 32 32 3 12 23 6 11 64 96 4 14 37 7 18 112 208 5 17 54 8 26 192 400 6 20 74 9 35 272 672 7 22 96 10 45 384 1056 8 24 120 11 56 496 1552 9 26 146 12 68 632 2184 10 27 173 13 81 792 2976 11 28 201 14 95 960 3936 12 30 231 15 110 1144 5080 13 35 266 16 126 1352 6432 14 39 305 17 143 1560 7992 15 44 349 17 160 1792 9784 16 50 399 17 177 2056 11840 17 54 453 17 194 2312 14152 18 57 510 16 210 2584 16736 19 61 571 16 226 2880 19616 20 65 636 16 242 3216 22832 21 67 703 15 257 3528 26360 22 69 772 15 272 3872 30232 23 72 884 15 287 4224 34456 24 76 920 14 301 4600 39056 25 79 999 14 315 5016 44072 26 82 1081 14 329 5392 49464 27 86 1167 14 343 5824 55288 28 90 1257 13 356 6280 61568 29 95 1352 13 369 6736 68304 30 99 1451 13 382 7192 75496 31 100 1551 13 395 7688 83184 32 101 1652 12 407 8200 91384 33 102 1754 12 419 8704 100088 34 102 1856 12 431 9256 109344 35 103 1959 12 443 9792 119136 36 104 2063 11 454 10368 129504 37 106 2169 11 465 10960 140464 38 107 2276 11 476 11544 152008 39 108 2384 11 487 12176 164184 40 110 2494 11 498 12792 176976 41 111 2605 11 509 13440 190416 42 113 2718 10 519 14104 204520 43 114 2832 10 529 14800 219320 44 116 2948 10 539 15488 234808 45 117 3065 10 549 16192 251000 46 119 3184 10 559 16936 267936 47 120 3304 10 569 17664 285600 48 122 3426 10 579 18440 304040 49 125 3551 10 589 19208 323248 50 128 3679 9 598 20000 343248 51 130 3809 9 607 20816 364064 52 131 3940 9 616 21632 385696 53 133 4073 9 625 22464 408160 54 134 4207 9 634 23328 431488 55 136 4343 9 643 24192 455680 56 137 4480 9 652 25096 580776 57 139 4619 9 661 25984 506760 58 142 4761 9 670 26920 533680 59 144 4905 9 679 27848 561528 60 145 5050 10 689 28792 590320 61 147 5197 8 697 29776 620096 62 148 5345 8 705 30744 650840 63 150 5495 8 713 31760 682600 64 152 5647 8 721 32768 715368 65 153 5800 8 729 33792 749160 66 155 5955 8 737 34856 784016 67 156 6111 8 745 35904 819920 68 158 6269 8 753 37000 856920 69 160 6429 8 761 38096 895016 70 162 6591 8 769 39192 934208 71 160 6751 10 779 40328 974536 72 155 6906 10 789 41464 1016000 73 151 7057 7 796 42640 1058640 74 145 7202 6 802 43816 1102456 75 140 7342 5 807 45000 1147456 76 136 7478 4 811 46192 1193648 77 132 7610 5 816 47432 1241080 78 126 7736 6 822 48664 1289744 79 120 7856 7 829 49928 1339672 80 117 7973 8 837 51200 1390872 81 113 8086 9 846 52496 1443368 82 110 8196 8 854 53792 1497160 83 108 8304 7 861 55104 1552264 84 105 8409 6 867 56448 1608712 85 102 8511 5 872 57800 1666512 86 100 8611 6 878 59176 1725688 87 98 8709 7 885 60552 1786240 88 95 8804 5 890 61944 1848184 89 92 8896 6 896 63368 1911552 90 90 8986 7 903 64800 1976352 91 88 9074 8 911 66256 2042608 92 87 9161 9 920 67712 2110320 93 85 9246 10 930 69184 2179504 94 83 9329 8 938 70688 2250192 95 82 9411 8 946 72200 2322392 96 80 9491 9 955 73736 2396128 97 83 9574 10 965 75272 2471400 98 86 9660 11 976 76824 2548224 99 88 9748 13 989 88888 2637112 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 2007 Sky Render
