The Ultimate Square
Final Fantasy III History

Final Fantasy III was released in Japan in 1990 as a Famicom/NES game. It had features that many SNES games had, and was one of the last games ever made for the Famicom system. FF3 had a new concept for the FF series: jobs. In this system, players could choose just what their party was made up of, and change what class, or job, their character was quickly and easily.

FF3 was never sent to the US, and only partial translations can be found on the 'net. There is one group who is working on the full translation, but this group is taking it's time, and it may be a while before Americans can play FF3 and understand what is being said.
